A Muncy Memorial Day

A Memorial Day in Muncy is really quite the perfect example of how a small town shows it's patriotic pride.

Yep, we have the horses and flags and high school band...

And heros by the dozen - on land and sea and in the air. Marching side by side and remembering days long gone by.

And the "crowd", of course.

But what would a parade be without dogs!!!!

Can't help but also remember they were there in the many wars along side our "Heros".

They, too, helped in their own way to fight the fight..............for Freedom.

Thirty years and it seems like yesterday.......

Well, we did it.
We beat the odds of staying together more than seven years.
It has been a wonderful, joyful, memorable,
without a doubt, the best decision I have ever made.
Three children, five dogs, twelve cats, two rabbits, two birds,
numerous rodents and many fish later....
I am looking forward to the next thirty.
To the love of my life,
XO Noony

They have all gone away........

I certainly wish they would have stayed longer but onward and upward they must go...
my little wrens, that is.
They left the nest on Friday, with me being the instigator and having the first fly away.
After that, Mom Wren got the rest of them ready and off they were.

Mrs. Robin #1 has a crowded house still - the nest is overflowing.

Mrs. Robin #2 has hatched three of the four eggs.

And Mrs. Robin #3, in
the rafters of the shed, has four beauties ready to crack.

Sorry I don't have pictures but the hard drive is being updated and will return in the next day or so. Until then.....

Remember all our HEROS of present and past wars and military situations.
They all gave the ultimate sacrifice so we may continue to live in freedom in this,
the most wonderful country on earth....The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA....long may she reign.

Wrens, robins, Zuzu and more.....

Mrs. Wren's family is coming along very well.

All five babies are growing and still squished into my clothespin bag in
the garage.

Look at them all...sleeping, heck, no - move the bag alittle and their tiny mouths
open WIDE!

Now Mrs. Robin #1 has five little babies also.

They are doing real well, also, but I must admit they are quite a bit bigger than the wrens!

Still hanging out in the tall bush outside Patrick's window. I felt so bad for them last night when we had such a terrible storm and strong winds. But Lauren reminded me that Mom probably had them covered well.

Mrs. Robin #2, just don't know about her. She's still sitting on the eggs but nothing hatching yet.

Hide and seek?

Nope...just Bart being a picture hog again!!!

Zuzu keeping the grass warm and waiting

for someone to play with.

Goosels.....or geese

Down by the pond, two geese families have added to their familes.
Family #1 increased by seven.

Family #2 increased by three.
We are just a gaggle of wildlife here!

They're here..............and more to come

The wren babies are finally hatched.

There are five.

Can you see their little eyes bulging out from
their little heads..............

Wait there's more.........................

Mrs. Robin #1 on the side porch has four to go....

Mrs. Robin #2 in a bush in the front yard has
four to go...............
And one more nest in the rafters on the other side porch, Mrs. Robin #3, has two to go....perhaps she isn't done yet with laying............we'll see!

Wait there's more.....

Happy Mother's Day!

Let's all take a moment and remember our "Moms"...
They may be with us to hold and kiss and hug.
They may be far away and thus not making it possible
to be next to each other.
And they may be really, really far away in a glorious place
where they are happy and glowing with grace.
Wherever your Mom is say a prayer for her,
close your eyes and visualize her,
now take a deep breath and tell her you love her!
A bleeding heart.....such a good symbol for this day.

Mrs. Wren

So, two weeks ago we had this surprise in our clothespin basket by the door in the garage.

Mrs. Wren decided to take over the basket for a few weeks and begin her family in it.

So far five eggs. Will keep you posted!
