Babies, furry and hungry

I'm thinking this may be the last

time I get to capture the babies...

the wrens are getting bigger and soon

will be on their own.

Mom and Dad get quite annoyed

when I take the jar down for a snapshot.

Although, they don't mind when I'm working

at the bench, I know any disturbance will make

the babies nervous and cause a premature flight.

 Truly, I don't know what there is left to

say about the robin family.

One has popped through.

Then two and three.

Haven't checked today to see if #4 is here.

I may get another day or two to photograph

this family but after that, I'll let them be quiet.

My only wish is that the priceless photo,

and you know which one that is, was a bit clearer.



God is Great, isn't He!

My fine, feathered, family of friends

My house has been a welcome

sign for the robin and wren

who have decided to plant and raise

their young on items on or near my home.

 The robin's rain gutter downspout had three

but now we have four.

The round blue pot on the top shelf

was sitting there quietly all winter & now

it has become the home of Mrs. Wren &

her five little ones.

Yes, that's two of them waiting for mom & their lunch.

Nearby the hostas are quietly growing and spreading

to all lengths and widths of the garden path.

So glad to be in the midst of Spring!

Flowers & Friends from my little corner of the world...

Our Lady of the Angels

has blessed my garden this

year with such an abundance

of beauty!

I am amazed by her gift to us,

so you will be, too!

Next comes her living and breathing gifts to me.......

Families are starting to sprout....

as you can see from the

photos.

The robins are now

gone from the nest on the

extension ladder.

She had to build a second

nest above the first, due

to the rain and wind.

Another sweet robin has decided to return

to the rain pipe and build her nest -

even tho' I did clean the spot out this spring,

guess she likes us!

Last but not least,

this family of flickers is ready to

fly the coop any day.

All five are stuffed in that nest,

on top of the light fixture in the garage.

I so love this time of year.

Makes you welcome summertime all the more!

who took a week out of his life & worked like ---

the reward was like nothing he'd ever known!



The Colors of Easter

This Easter had colors of spring

so bright and beautiful,

I felt kind of guilty to be

able to have this kind of joy

surrounding me.

But above and below,

I know who to behold.

Easter-time begins at my table,

covered with elements of

my Ukrainian heritage,

and it finishes something like this!

My Easter has sprung!
